Had hire hopes for this product. Sat down with my daughter and hoped to finish it in one sitting. From the beginning, the process slow slowed as the labeling system for the bags was not clear. Once we figured that out and began building, the directions were fairly easy to follow. The next issue was that some of the more heavily loaded parts did not stay together well, and we spent a lot of time going back and repairing pieces that came undone. As we got closer to the end and the wings, things got really difficult as the wings just had too much load, and they kept falling apart (see pics). We went back-and-forth and eventually gave up. All that said, I still give this three stars because the directions are adequate and it kept us busy for a few hours. The almost finished product itself does look neat and the designers did a good job with the realism factor. Overall, I would not buy this product again because of some of the issues I mentioned, but it did give me several hours of bonding time with my daughter, so it wasn��t a complete fail.

I love this A-10 Warthog set! The instructions are clear and easy to follow, and putting the aircraft together is definitely the fun part for us. My only issue is that some of the smaller pieces aren��t labeled as clearly as I��m used to seeing in these types of kits. Usually, each type of piece is separated and labeled, but some of the parts in this set are mixed together. We ended up using a parts box we had on hand to separate them. It takes a little more patience to find the right pieces, but it��s also part of the challenge of building. Once you get going, the pieces fit together nicely and the finished plane is really cool. Highly recommend!

This is a super kit. Assembly instructions are easy to read. Kit looks great. It's a good size, maybe 1:64th scale. Kit came complete. For this money, this is a great looking kit. Materials are good.

So. This is a larger set than I anticipated. The listing says 809 pieces. At Lego prices, that would be more than eighty dollars. This cost much less when I ordered. But this isn't Lego.However, aside from the lame box design, this set screams Lego. Numbered bags of pieces. Diagrammed instructions. It's just as much fun as Lego. It's an almost identical experience. Too many stickers, maybe.According to the instruction book, this plane is from the Cold War era. "Built for battlefield dominance and close air support, it became the most trusted ally of ground forces and the ultimate nightmare for tanks and armored units." The maker of this model says on the box, "We clearly oppose any form of war glorification. Our goal is to encourage interest in history through thoughtful and engaging building experiences."Do you collect models of combat planes? Do you know somebody who does? This'll be a great addition to a collection. A reasonable price for fake Lego.

I built this with my son on a weekend we didnt have much else planned and it kept both of us busy for a good chunk of the afternoon. The instructions were easy enough to follow, everything is sorted and numbered so we werent digging through a giant pile trying to find the right piece every step. The finished size looks great on display too, its detailed enough to actually look like the plane its based on instead of some rough version of it. My only complaint is a couple of the smaller pieces were easy to lose track of since theyre so tiny, so we had to be careful not to knock them off the table while building. Other then that this was a fun little project for us and worth doing again with his next kit.

Challenging build but not necessarily in a good way. I find that the design and instructions were unclear some times and as assembling goes on its harder for it to stay together. The finished model is very large and great looking but like I said it doesnt like to stay together. Parts arent snug enough for it to stay together. Parts fly off if you try to play with it or put it on a display shelf.

My grandson loves this airplane. I also bought him a book about the Warthog, titled "Warthog: Flying the A-10 in the Gulf War" and that really sparked his interest in the aircraft. He has been flying with me in a Cherokee and he really liked flying, but now he's almost obsessed. He's never built a model, or anything else for that matter, in his life. So it took him a while to complete this over 800 piece model, but he stuck with it. And it kept him off the screens so that's a good thing, right? lol... One of the problems he encountered was the instructions could have been clearer, the print was small and the diagrams were a little confusing. Also, while it looks great on display, you can't play with it as the pieces will fall off. So I'm deducting 1 star for the instructions and "non playability". That said, the quality of the pieces was almost equivalent to Lego and the value was outstanding.
